I’m the person that parents come to when nothing else has worked. I work with children from birth to 21 years of age and their families on solutions for a variety of stressors that children face. My philosophy is to discover the root of issues quickly, to overcome typical communication challenges effectively, and to work together with caregivers for speedy resolutions so that everyone can spend more time enjoying life and less time frustrated!
I am based in Quincy and I work with families throughout Greater Boston. I enjoy working with typically developing children, as well as those who may have more diverse physical or mental needs. Some of the problems that I find solutions for include: school anxiety, adverse bedtime behaviors, toileting troubles, general behavior management, and medical adherence (examples include dentist visits, needles, swallowing pills, glasses, and adaptive devices like AFOs). I start with a free 15 minute phone consultation so that we can get to know each other better, usually followed by an office visit and email/phone follow-ups. No matter how complex the issue, my goal is to always achieve a simple, effective, and fast path to family happiness.
Robyn’s N.E.S.T. was developed to meet the needs of caregivers who want to spend more time enjoying their children and less time frustrated. I have a passion for enhancing a child’s success each step along the way. While all children face stressors, teaching a child the appropriate tools to identify and cope with such stressors is rewarding. Working with caregivers to likewise support their children, I find, provides even more fulfillment.
Robyn’s N.E.S.T. Psychology emphasizes the importance of Nurturing Emotional Success (within a child, the home, and school environments); Together (the child, care givers, and of course US)! At Robyn’s N.E.ST. we simplify our interactions, provide a feeling of comfortability for each individual, and meet the child on his or her level. That’s when remarkable things begin to happen – stressors fade. Often, all it takes is learning to communicate effectively, going beyond words to a space of simply understanding. I specialize in intervention based “off the couch” psychotherapy for children typically developing, as well as those who may have more unique physical or mental or needs. I develop or modify action based interventions that help every child achieve his or her best self!
The current services include: Toilet Training, Bedtime Behaviors, General Behavior Management, and Medical Adherence from birth to 21-years of age.
